MDP Statement on Republicans in Jeff City Voting to Maintain the Governor’s Healthcare Cuts

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri Democratic Party released a statement on today’s vote by Republicans in the Missouri House to maintain the Governor’s cuts to healthcare that are eliminating vital in-home services and nursing care for over 8,000 seniors and people with disabilities.

Missouri Democratic Party Chair Stephen Webber said:

“This vote from Republicans in Jefferson City just sent a very clear message to the over 8,000 seniors and people with disabilities who are losing vital healthcare services because of cuts from Eric Greitens: We don’t care about you.”

“That’s unacceptable — and Missouri Democrats are not going to stop fighting to protect and expand healthcare for Missourians.”
