Where Does Josh Hawley Stand on Trump’s Travel Ban?

COLUMBIA, Mo. — In light of the U.S. Supreme Court hearing arguments on President Trump’s travel ban tomorrow, Jack Danforth — a former Republican U.S. Senator and longtime mentor of Josh Hawley — yesterday co-authored an op-ed urging the Court to strike down the ban as unconstitutional. Danforth writes that this case “is important to every American and, indeed, the integrity of the republic,” yet his constitutional lawyer protege, Hawley, has yet to say whether he agrees with his mentor or stands with President Trump.

“Missourians deserve to know if Josh Hawley agrees with his mentor Jack Danforth that the travel ban should be struck down, or if he stands with President Trump on this issue. Either way, Hawley needs to stop dodging on key policy issues and tell Missourians where he stands.”
