ICYMI – Greitens Administration Snubs Another Local Vendor To Favor An Out-Of-State Business

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Following a Springfield News-Leader report that the Greitens Administration is bypassing a Missouri vendor in Springfield to give a state contract to a Kentucky firm with no “regional knowledge,” the Missouri Democratic Party is renewing its call for Governor Eric Greitens to show proof that out-of-state businesses receiving state contracts have not donated to his dark money group, “A New Missouri.”

The Springfield News-Leader pointed out that the Greitens Administration made this decision even after determining that the out-of-state business will “not provide as great an economic impact to Missouri as that offered by the Missouri-based vendors.”

Similarly, KMOV reported last week that the Greitens Administration is blocking three Missouri businesses from bidding on “a $30 million project to repair the state capitol, while allowing four out of state firms to compete for the job.”

“Working Missourians deserve to know if Eric Greitens is selling out their government to the highest dark money bidder. Eric Greitens should release his dark money donors immediately and set the record straight so Missourians know who is secretly trying to influence where their tax dollars go.”
