ICYMI: Allman Caller on Hawley: McCaskill…Beats the Hell Out of Having Somebody Lying to Me All the Time

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Last night, conservative talk show host Jamie Allman heard from a caller who complained that Hawley lied when he said that he wouldn’t be another ladder-climbing politician.

“Now you lie to me once shame on you, you lie to me twice shame on me, and there ain’t going to be no shame on me,” said the caller. “If McCaskill gets in again it beats the hell out of having somebody lying to me all the time.”

From The Allman Report:

JAMIE ALLMAN: Time now for the heat phone sponsored by Weber Chevrolet.

CALLER: You know you’re always talking good things about Josh Hawley, our A.G. But you know he’s Danforth’s boy, and he’s running for the Senate which he said he wouldn’t do. Now you lie to me once shame on you, you lie to me twice shame on me, and there ain’t going to be no shame on me. If McCaskill gets in again it beats the hell out of having somebody lying to me all the time.

ALLMAN: Hey, but the only thing I’ll correct you on is I haven’t been talking up Josh Hawley as a Senate candidate at all. In fact, I’ve been one of his harshest detractors when it comes to this whole John Danforth thing. I do think that Josh Hawley is a darn good Attorney General. I think we’ve seen that already and I even asked him yesterday, well people are going to say they voted for you for Attorney General, why are you suddenly now running for Senate, blah blah blah, so I get that. So, I haven’t been gushing at all over Josh Hawley and I completely understand your remarks and I’ve been super hard on Danforth and this petulant little, vile little letter he wrote to the editor disparaging President Trump. It was gratuitous, it was ridiculous. I even asked Josh Hawley whether he would separate himself with John Danforth and he said yes, I am my own man.

ALLMAN: Now you can take his word for it, or not, but you know what I’m a little suspicious like you are of this relationship. I get it but don’t say I’ve been like a big booster of Josh Hawley. I like the guy as a person, as, as Attorney General also, but we’ll see about the Senate candidacy. I’ll be fair about it.
