Stephen Webber Announces “Claire Fights for Vets” Tour After Hawley Fails to Stand Up for Missouri Veterans

Today, veteran and Democratic Party Chair Stephen Webber announced the launch of the statewide Claire Fights for Vets Tour, highlighting Claire McCaskill's record of getting results for Missouri's veterans and active duty servicemembers after her opponent, Attorney General Josh Hawley, did not join a bipartisan group of 33 state Attorneys General calling on the government to protect military servicemembers and their families from predatory lending.

According to a report from KMBC News, Josh Hawley is under fire over new evidence showing that during his investigation into former governor Eric Greitens’ use of text-message deleting app, Confide, Hawley’s team agreed to Greitens’ demand that interviews of his staff be limited to 15 minutes -- and told the governor's staff well ahead of time when the investigation would wrap up. As House Investigative Committee member Greg Razer told Micheal Mahoney, "We had a real investigation. I'm not sure what Josh Hawley did as attorney general, was, you could consider, a real investigation into the Confide app."
